April - Card Swap

The theme for the card swap was to use an old CD.  As it happens my card swap partner and I had the same Joanna Sheen CD and agreed to use an image from that CD.  Well I printed off some toppers and background papers - I even used some ink-jet printable canvas that I have had sitting on my shelf for a while.  This fitted in with my 'must use up what I have in my craft room' New Year's Resolution.

The fan is white embossed on vellum and green embossed on a metal embellishment.

So then I had to make some other cards to use up the leftovers, as I did not want to add to my "leftovers" box of bits for cards - I am trying to reduce what is in there.

Here I have added some sparkle self adhesive sheet to the main image.

Repeated Image - two different sized toppers.

Added flower soft to the main image.

March 2014 - Male Cards

Joanna Sheen Forum Swap - Theme Boys Toys

One of my aims this year is to start using and desposing of some of my stash that has been put away.  To this end I have been selling magazines that are heart/wedding/christmas/easter themed and taking out articles of interest from the rest.

However I did keep for myself a special edition of Making Cards called 'Making Cards for Men' from 2008!  In it I found a card that I thought suitable for the swap.

Once I had finished making the card,

I found I had enough bits to make another similar one, slightly different theme.

Now that I have made a start on the magazine, I need to make a few more cards and then I can throw it away.  Hope it does not take me 6 years to do that though.

Male Birthday

I have no idea how many years this bowler has been in my craft stash - I bought 4 of them (2 male and 2 female) already made up off Ebay.

The birds and the grass are recent purchases that were in an Ebay Job Lot of crafting bits and pieces.  Used Co-ordinations card for the light green, embossed the images and sandpapered them.
