Julia Watts Homework

Here is another card I have made using the homework bits I received from Julia Watts.

Spellbinders Card Creator - Wonderful Mum

Female Birthday

Liked the contrast in the lilac and white card I had made recently, that I made it again for someone who is losing their sight - so that it could be seen and felt by them.

September Card Swap

Theme Monochrome - any colour - so I went with shades of purple and white.

Used a number of my recent purchases of Spellbinder dies.

So used the new large square dies with the pricked edges - have used them on every card since I bought them.

1)  Double Pierced Squares from Spellbinders - Sue Wilson
2) Trailing Ivy - Finishing Touches - Sue Wilson
3) Classic Adorned Squares - Sue Wilson
4) Contemporary Squares - Shapeabilities - Spellbinders
5) Linen Embossing Folder - Sue Wilson
6) Heartfelt Creations - Arianna Blooms die set

New Year's Resolution

Still going strong - with making cards out of the "to do" large box of card ideas.

Here I have used up some of Joanna Sheen papers and toppers.

Even got into my peel-off collection

16th Birthday Cards

For twins (a boy and a girl).

Jolly Nation (Paper Nation) Decoupage Sheet Used

I had several of this black dress decoupage printed off - so keeping my New Year's resolution of using up what I have already got in my craft stash.  Not sure were it was downloaded from.

Craftsuprint freebie - came with a craft magazine.

Not strictly paper-crafting but it comes the set of two cards for each twin.  For other stamping ideas, go to www.craftychaffinch.blogspot.co.uk or www.sparrowtweet.blogspot.co.uk

Julia Watts Workshop

Went to a Julia Watts workshop this weekend - here are the three projects.

Striplet Dies

Some basic striplet cards.

Just cut out the striplet and fix it on the front of a DL card

Cut out part of the striplet from the top and bottom - leaving it in the card by not using the outside edge.

Cut out the striplet to one side of a larger piece of card, leave it in the card, and add a frame around it.

Cut  out the striplet once in one colour and four times in another colour, and play around with  cutting them down and re-arranging them.  Used border peel-offs to hid the joins.

Male Birthday

This card was made from a bit of homework I won on Julia Watts' Website.  Although the images are stamped, the topper was made to show how to an image going into an aperture.  The car image could have be a part of a pre-printed decoupage for instance.  The stamped map image could have been a page out of a map book - the only reason I have not done this, is my map book that I have talking pages out of, is playing hide and seek with me.

I am quite liking the use of this grid pearls on men's cards.

Female Birthday

It  has been a while since I have done a paper only card.  This was using Times Square (Sue Wilson range from Spellbinders) and peel offs.

This one using a Sue Wilson Striplet die and gilding flakes and Little Claire adhesive glitter sheet.
